General Meeting Minutes- February 2024

Group Discussion- Ride The Rockies event will front us the money for food and Rec will give us BBQ Equip. We could potentially partner with WRAP and split proceeds.

Group Discussion- Use sign at the Bank for advertising for future adoption events.

Chris- Gave brief history of his experience with fundraising and grant writing.

Linda F- Updated the group about the 501C3 status and advised that Furry Friends can no longer associate with the shelter.

Don- Will talk with the Town Manager Lisa P. about differences of opinions, with goal of working together.

Group Discussion- Concerns about current shelter being an unsafe work environment, unsafe animal environment, poor access, and signage.

Group Discussion- Christen C. will be President, Linda F. Treasurer, Tammy D. Secretary, Chris B. VP.

Group Discussion-Next meeting Mission Statements.

Group Discussion- Fundraising with Screening of Goodboy the Movie, possibly at the Gathering Place. Plan for March or April visit with Wes.

Group Discussion- Go Fund Me/Set up.

Don- Rebecca at Asher House can help us out.

Group Discussion- Going forward Furry Friends will meet at 5:00pm on the first and third Friday of each month, hopefully at the current meeting location at 209 E Main.

Group Discussion- Extend invite to Wes from Rifle to attend a meeting and share his experience, lessons learned, and suggestions for building a new shelter.
